Gaudeamus Muziekweek 2012: Gaudeamus Muziekweek 2012: Program online and Early Bird ticket sales has started!

next

After months of puzzling it is finally finished! As from today this link leads you to the Gaudeamus Muziekweek 2012 festival program and gives you information on composers, performers etc. In the coming weeks, even more compositions, sound installations and additional program components such as expert meetings, seminars and workshops will be added, but the outlines of the program are clear. Some picks? Music by Louis Andriessen, Wouter Snoei, Marko Ciciliani, Martijn Padding and 13 young composers nominated for the Gaudeamus Prize 2012. Performed by, among others, Asko | Schönberg, VocaalLAB, EnAccord, orkest de erepijs, Insomnio and the Nieuw Ensemble. Free lunch concerts where Dutch conservatories present themselves, the annual festival-within-a-festival The Night of The Unexpected, beautiful sound installations and the first results of a special musical cooperation between Ensemble Klang and Knalpot, which was initiated by Gaudeamus. This year, Gaudeamus also offers three nights of "sleep concerts" in the Strowis hostel; nocturnal programs which are organized in collaboration with the Flemish record label Slaapwel Records. But, as you probably might have guessed, this is only a fraction of the total program. The program can be found here.

For all the paid concerts that can be found there, you can already start purchasing tickets now. This year, in addition to tickets for individual concerts, we offer concert route tickets. Most evening programs consist of exciting musical routes that take you past three (brief) concerts in various city locations. Absolutely don't want to miss a thing? Then simply choose for a festival passe-partout. From 1 June until 17 August we offer the favourable Early Bird rate!

See you in September!
